KÅichi eventually learns the truth about the curse that has plagued Yomiyama Middle School for decades. Every year, two students, one alive and one dead, are taken by the curse. The class and teacher must pretend that the dead student is still alive in order to appease the curse.
KÅichi and Mei Misaki work together to try to break the curse, but they soon find themselves caught up in a deadly game of cat and mouse. As the students and people around them begin to die, KÅichi and Mei must race against time to save themselves and their classmates.
